Time to learn new skills though the medium of Welsh

The summer holiday season is coming to an end – but don’t despair. Adults across Cardiff will be able to gain new skills through the medium of Welsh this October with the exciting new programme of adult courses organised by Menter Caerdydd in partnership with Cardiff Council.

To help you make the most of your spare time during the gloomy months ahead, or even to sample new careers, these bitesize classes are designed to provide a flavour of a range of subjects including languages, flower arranging, guitar for beginners, Thai cooking, yoga, zumba, mosaic, creating a website and much more.

All courses are taught through the medium of Welsh and provide a great opportunity to socialise and use your Welsh in a fun learning environment.

Sian Lewis, Managing Officer at Menter Caerdydd, said: “Our courses let you look at your existing skills and experience as well as your interests. Generally, holidays or key milestones in life act as a catalyst - when people have time to stop and think about what they have achieved and what they really want to do. It’s never too late to learn!”
